Welcome to a new year!
 
 I am Elizabeth Mendez and I am excited about the 2012-2013 school year.  I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2005 and I am now attending  OLLU again for my Masters Degree.  This is my 8th year teaching and I am looking forward to teaching 1st grade.  
    I am a product of the Edgewood District.  I attended Winston Elementary, moved on to Brentwood Middle School and graduated from John F. Kennedy H.S.
    I have three daughters: one is a daycare teacher, another is a college freshman and my youngest is a junior at John F. Kennedy High School.   I am a parent volunteer with the Mighty Rocket Band and I am at many of the different band activities.  Look for me at football games and other band events.
    I am very proud of my Edgewood background, my involvement with the Kennedy band and I am equally proud to be working with the children in the Las Palmas community.
