The Parent & Family Engagement Program continues to engage parents and families at L.B. Johnson Elementary in school and academic activities with the assistance of a Parent Educator.  Currently, LBJ Elementary has programs for all grade levels that parents and families can participate or volunteer.  

Our parent Educator, Myrna Aguilera is here at LBJ every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Feel free to stop by and visit or call her at 444-8175.

                                   

About the parent educator:
My name is Myrna Aguilera and I am the Parent Educator for C.P. Stafford and LBJ Elementary.  Throughout the 2012-2013 school year we will need parental participation on various committees and volunteers at school events.  On behalf of the PTA, and most importantly, our children, we are asking that you contribute your time wherever and whenever you can. Without your support, these events will not be as successful as they could be with your involvement.  If you are interested in becoming involved please contact me so that I can assist  you in becoming acquainted with your child's school. 

This is my 7th year at EISD as a Parent Educator.  I acquired my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Baylor University in Waco, Tx.  I have an utmost respect for all the hard work and dedication that teachers put forth.  I believe that obtaining higher education allows us to become empowered  and receptive to the needs of the world.  I invite you to join the EISD Parent & Family Engagement Program as it will provide support and guidance for your family's needs.  Thank you parents for your commitment and devotion to EISD children!
