If you wanted to know a little more about Mr. Jewell then you've come to the correct page. ![]() I was born and raised in southeast Iowa and graduated high school in 1981. I went to college at Kirkwood Community College and then transferred to Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Missouri. After learning how to succeed the hard way I managed to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in May of 1988. I interviewed with numerous schools in Iowa, Missouri, Georgia and Nevada and then I took an interview with a school district in San Antonio, Texas. Well it wasn't long before I accepted Edgewood's invitation to move to Texas. I've worked five years at Perales, three years at the Alternative Center, two years at Burleson, nine years at Winston, three years at Johnson, and this year I am been blessed to be a Loma Park Mustang. I have taught first, third through eighth grade and taught data processing for six weeks to Seniors. I worked the last ten years in Instructional Technology and was in the regular classroom before that. I have served as the D.A.R.E., Young Astronauts sponsor, and served on numerous committees at both the campus and district level as well a serving with the Texas PTA as President, Vice President, Treasurer, Membership and Parliamentarian. Currently I am the district Elementary Robotics Chairman and one of Loma's Robotics coaches. I met my wife in 1993, married in 1996, became a father in 2004. My faith is a big part of who I am and I tried to stay actively involved where ever I am. |
