Well you made it! Glad you're here.

If you wanted to know a little more about Mr. Jewell then you've come to the correct page. me

I was born and raised in southeast Iowa and graduated high school in 1981. I went to
college at Kirkwood Community College and then transferred to Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Missouri. After learning how to succeed the hard way I managed to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in May of 1988.

I interviewed with numerous schools in Iowa, Missouri, Georgia and Nevada and then I took an interview with a school district in San Antonio, Texas. Well it wasn't long before I accepted Edgewood's invitation to move to Texas.

I worked five years at Perales, three years at the Alternative Center, two years at Burleson, nine years at Winston, three years at Johnson, and for the past few years I have been blessed to be a Loma Park Mustang. I have taught first, third through eighth grade and taught data processing for Seniors. I have worked in Instructional Technology since 1999 and was in the regular classroom before that. I have served as a D.A.R.E. & Young Astronauts sponsor, and served on numerous committees at both the campus and district level as well a serving with the Texas PTA as President, Vice President, Treasurer, Membership and Parliamentarian. Currently I am the President of the Edgewood ISD Elementary Robotics Club and one of Loma's four robotics coaches.

I met my wife in 1993, married in 1996, became a father in 2004. My faith is a big part of who I am and I try to stay actively involved in my church.
