Role of the Special Education Teacher

 

Resource: The student is more than two grade levels below his/her grade level. This is when the student is pulled from the regular education classroom and the special education teacher works on prerequisite skills that the student is lacking in order to bridge the gap in the regular education classroom.

 

Support Facilitation: This is when the student is at or slightly below grade level. A member from the special education team will enter the regular education classroom and work with the student on skills that are currently being taught.
