My father was in the military, so I have lived in many different places. I was born in Germany, but have lived in California, Texas and London.
I spent most of my childhood in California. My parents and siblings still live there. I moved to Texas to attend Baylor University. After completeing my Bachelors in Education, I moved to Laredo, Texas.
I spent a year in Laredo, teaching fifth grade. However, after meeting my husband, we moved to San Antonio. I have lived in San Antonio for fifteen years. These fifteen years have been spent teaching for Edgewood ISD. I have taught every grade from first to fifth.
I received my Masters degree in Reading and Literacy in 2007 from Walden University. Receiving my Masters was a rewarding experience and a personal goal that I was eager to accomplish.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have been married to my husband Eddie for sixteen years. We have three wonderful sons that keep us very busy. We spend our weekends at soccer games, watching movies, reading books, and on family outings.
I am excited to be teaching fourth grade this year. I am looking forward to a wonderful year, getting to know my students and helping them prepare for fifth grade.
