¨ Universal Review (URS) committee meets and recommends Dyslexia assessment

¨ Parent Permission to test for Dyslexia--the act of assessing a student for Dyslexia triggers the 504 process (Texas State Dyslexia Handbook)

¨ Collection of student data, including health records and RtI data

¨ Student IQ assessment

¨ Slingerland Assessment of Children with Specific Language Disability

¨ Results are provided to parents and URS committee, which forms 504 committee to make specific recommendations for student, including classroom accommodations and placement into District Dyslexia Therapy (Texas Scottish Rite series or other options)

¨ Parent notification of results

¨ Student placement in intervention program
