 Hello and welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! I am Mina Hernandez, the librarian for Gardendale Elementary.  This is my fifth year as a librarian.  I taught 3rd grade for seven years before pursuing my Master's degree.  I received my Master's degree at Our Lady of the Lake University and my Bachelor' s degree at UTSA.
Get ready for a fun year full of exciting books and fantastic programs!  We are fortunate to have a large collection of wonderful books for all students to enjoy.   I encourage all students to take part in the Accelerated Reader (AR) program and GO FOR GOLD in Reading! There is something in here for everyone.
