I am excited to be part of the LBJ family and look forward to getting to know each of you before the year's end!
I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have a Bachelor's degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, a Master's degree from UTSA, and just short of another Master's from UNT in Denton.  I have worked in Edgewood for 23 years as a Bilingual classroom teacher, an Accelerated Instruction Teacher, a library media specialist, and now as an Instructional Facilitator. I am a certified Reading Specialist, a Master Reading Teacher, and a Library Media Specialist. I am very excited about sharing my love of learning with the teachers and students here at LBJ!
Finally, I want to share some of my goals. I would like to increase the number of students who read for pleasure. I also want to encourage teachers to become the expert in their classroom. Lastly, I look forward to helping the parents in understanding that learning begins at home. Working as a team, we can help our students and children become contributing members of society.
