Emma Dromgoole is a Lee High School graduate, where she served as drum-major for the band her junior and senior years in high school. (It was then that she made up her mind to become a band director!) She holds a B. A. in Music Education from the University of Texas in San Antonio, an M. A. in Counseling also from the University of Texas in San Antonio, a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University, as well as principal certification through the Texas Principal Certification Program from the University of Texas in San Antonio.
Dr. Dromgoole is in her 19th year as a public school educator and has served as an elementary music teacher, middle school band director, high school band director, high school counselor, and high school assistant principal intern. Most of her career was spent as a band director, where she won Sweepstakes honors as both a middle school and high school band director. Dr. Dromgoole has served the music community as a member of Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association. She has also served as a music judge/clinician/volunteer for San Antonio ISD, Edgewood ISD, Harlandale ISD, and Northside ISD.
Dr. Dromgoole feels blessed to be serving the community by being an advocate for her favorite subject matter: the fine arts.
