Artwork must be original and represent Cinco de Mayo, and/or this year's theme, "Opening the Pages of Our Culture."
The artwork must not be larger that 24" wide x 36" tall.
Artwork must be submitted on paper, poster board, canvas, or illustration board.
Medium used shall be one of the following: Acrylic, watercolor, pastels, pencil, crayon, charcoal, or computer-generated.
The artwork must not include 3-dimensional objects.
Cinco de Mayo, Opening the Pages of Our Culture, the date, or any other title may not be included.
All entries must be delivered to the Fine Arts Academy by 10 a.m., April 18, 2013. A completed entry form must be attached to each piece delivered to the Fine Arts Academy. Download entry form here.
Schools will submit a minimum of 5 entries for this contest. The top entries will receive awards and the grand prize entry will be printed on the official Edgewood ISD Cinco de Mayo Celebration T-shirt for 2013.
There is no cash prize for entries. The artist who creates the artwork chosen for the T-shirt will receive a $50 gift card to Best Buy.
By submitting your artwork to the contest, the artist is giving Edgewood ISD the right to use the artwork on T-shirts and various forms of media promoting the district event.
