My name is Yvonne Galindo and I am the Instructional Technology Facilitator here at Roosevelt ES.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. I attended Texas Tech Univerity where I earned a B.S. in Restaurant, Hotel, Institutional Management. After graduation, I worked in the Hospitality Industry for 18 years when I decided my calling was teaching. I was lucky enough to be hired as a Keyboarding teacher at Southside High School. I taught 9th grade Keyboarding and BCIS I Southside High School for 5 years.
As a Career and TechnologyTeacher, I loved integrating new technology into my lessons. I was a member of a team of teachers that created and implemented a district technology assessments for teachers. This program was established to educate and enhance teachers knowledge and skills in using technology software and hardware in their professional lives. Additionally, I obtained my Master in Education with a specialization in Instructional Technology from UTSA. I love learning about and using technology in my personal and professional life. My goal is to continue to share my passion with others to help them thrive and achieve.
