Summer activities for my students…Any ideas?Am I being too ambitious?Should I just prepare an activity for our return related to their summer break activities? Please share…Or, what skills do you think are important to emphasize working on over the summer?????
I’ve been thinking about contributing to the recycling effort here at Memorial. My class could take it on as a service project to help out; as well as, incorporating a comprehensive recycling emphasis within our social studies & science curriculum. We have learned about recycling and could work to collect and sort items for our campus. We could even take a class trip to recycling plants to see how it all works.I think this would be a great ongoing project for us!However, I know that it would take a great deal of effort to plan the coordination and logistics of such a plan. Also, I need to find out what recycling activities are currently in progress to know whether it would be necessary to supplement what already exists or create a plan for a new program.I would LOVE and APPRECIATE any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, or help~
My students with special needs will be taking more courses within the general education population here at Memorial because they are choosing a vocational track to follow throughout their high school education. I want to facilitate the implementation of this policy to the best of my ability.I welcome suggestions from general education teachers about topics like how I can best support the inclusion process, etc.Or from special education teachers with words of encouragement and anecdotes about what strategies have been successful; as well as, what has not been as successful, etc.Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful... Thanks so much, in advance, for your assistance~!
