How to Access the Online Textbook - this link allows the user to read step by step instructions on how to access the online textbook. It also includes the appropriate codes to use when registering as a new user. Be sure to couple the viewing of this powerpoint with the viewing of the podcast of how to log in to the online textbook. Double Bubble Maps - this teacher made PowerPoint presentation uses examples from an assignment to help guide students through the process of creating a Double Bubble Map and how Thinking Maps are different than graphic organizers. STAAR English I Blueprint & STAAR English II Blueprint - both these files are the blueprints and details of how the STAAR exam is organized. Writing Prompt Sample - students do several different warm ups in the English I and II Pre-AP classes and writing prompts is just one example. The students are to read and answer the question in an essay format, and the response must be at least half a page to receive full credit. Identifying Theme & Identifying Irony - the worksheets to the left are practice worksheets that deal with identifying two of the many concepts that the students need to learn, identify, understand and utilize in the English Language Arts Reading courses.
