| Week of February 11-15, 2013
David Thursday: February 14, 2013Today we learned about measurement in Math. During Language Arts we learned about prepositions and prespsitional phrases. During writing we did the How? and Why? C.A.F.E. We know the difference between expository and personal narrative writing. During Social Studies we learned all about the Texas Frontier and the railroads. In Science we are learning about the sun, Earth, and the moon. Gabby 
Thursday: December 6, 2012 Today we did some division and multiplication for Math. Language Arts we learned singular and plural possessive nouns and what an aprostrophe is. In Reading we reiewed sequence of events and our vocabulary for the week. In Social Studies we studied the Texas Declaration of Independence and used the concept sequence of events to help us. Monday: December 3, 2012 On Monday, we did some challenging math that was actually fun. We did combinations and division word problems. Lanuage Arts - We had to put a story about a dad and his son in order. This taught us sequence of events. Some keys words for sequence of events are: first, second, third, then, next, last, and finally.
Vocabulary - Our vocabulary words for the week are: trembles, wreckage, constructed, slab, timer, possession, debris, crusing, tenement and rumble.
In Writing we played Emotion Baseball. This game is played by giving action words for the emotion called out. If you got it right you got to run to first base and so on. Team Gabrielle 6 Team Julian 6 It was a tie!
In Social Studies I learned about empresarios, and Mexico and Texas at war!
In Science I learned about electricity! Did you know that thunerbolts are very powerful and made up of tiny particles. Same charges are NOT attracted to each other. Positive and negative charges are attracted.
