Welcome to the Memorial High School Library webpage! The library is open before, during, and after school and the hours are from 8:00 am - 4:45 pm to all students, faculty and staff. Students may come into the library before and after school without a pass but during school hours they need to bring a pass from their teacher.

If you are not with a class and are coming into the library on your own you will need to place your backpack on the shelves by the door as you enter the library; sign in at the circulation desk and you will be asked to put your name, the time you arrived, the reason you are in the library and who sent you. Cell phones and music devices are not permitted in the library. Food and drinks are not allowed in the library.

The library has approximately 50 desktop computers for student use.   Students are allowed to print and there is no charge for printing but what is printed needs to be for a class. There is no color printer at this time. School computers are not to be used to play games or watch videos.

Students may check out up to 3 books for a 2-week period. In order to check out books you must have a clear record, i.e. no overdue or lost books (and this means all the way back to elementary or middle school). If there are overdue or lost books, these need to be returned or paid for before a book can be checked out.  If you cannot finish reading the book in the 2-week period or still need the book for research you may renew the book for another 2 weeks.  There are no overdue fines, but books do need to be returned or paid for if lost or damaged prior to checking out any other books from the library. To find a book, please go to the Dewey the Library Cat picture on the library homepage, click on the picture and this will open up the online search catalog. If you need assistance in finding the book, please ask the librarian and she will help you.

Kindle e-readers have arrived at Memorial High School and are ready for student checkout. If a student wishes to check out a Kindle, they must first obtain a Kindle Reader Checkout Contract from the librarian. This form needs to be signed by both the student and the parent and returned to the librarian. On the form there is a space for up to 4 books that you wish to be uploaded on your Kindle. Once the form is returned to the librarian, books will be uploaded and then the Kindle will be ready for checkout.

The library carries approximately 50 magazine subscriptions (see the entire list on the link on the Library Resources page), and the USA Today newspaper.
