I am very excited about working with the students and staff here at Memorial High School and would like to share a bit about my background.
I grew up in Michigan and though I miss the change of seasons, I quickly learned to appreciate San Antonio winters! I graduated from the Univeristy of Michigan with a B.A. in Political Science and began teaching in 1994. I earned my M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from UTSA in 2002 and went on to complete the doctoral program. I received my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from UTSA in December 2009.
This is my seventh year in the district. Prior to coming to EISD, I taught English and Social Studies for twelve years in both SAISD and NISD. I first came to Edgewood ISD as the Instructional Facilitator at Gus Garcia MS in August 2006. I then became an Assistant Principal and worked at Truman MS, Gus Garcia MS and Brentwood MS. These experiences have given me the opportunity to meet many of our familes and work with skilled and dedicated teachers and staff across our district.
I am proud to be part of the Memorial Minuteman Family!
