Hi, my name is Leo Shusterman and I am one of the three 8th    grade math teachers at Gus Garcia Middle School. I am very excited for the new school year and am looking forward to great success in the classroom.

 

I have been living in San Antonio for 20 years. Before that, I was born and raised in Russia and I am fluent in Russian. I graduated from Clark High School here in San Antonio in 2004. I went on to receive my bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2009 and then received my master's degree in curriculum and instruction in 2012 also from UTSA. Before coming to Gus Garcia, I spent a semester student-teaching at Edison High School in the SAISD. I have been tutoring in math for the Sylvan Learning Center since 2009.

  

Please note that I am available for tutoring after school every Thursday from 4pm-5pm along with every other Monday from 4pm-5pm (based on student request).
