Dear Parents,
Welcome back to Burleson Early Childhood Center. My name is Mrs. Perez and I am looking forwards to teaching your class this year.
The following are a few expectations I have for the year:
*Attendance- Regular school attendance is essential for your child to make the most of his/her education. Please make an effort to have your child at school everyday. If they must be absent call and be prepared to submit an absent note upon returning.
*Tardies-Students may enter the class beginning at 7:45 a.m. everyday and will be counted tardy at 8:00am. If you are late you must have a tardy slip to enter the classroom.
(If you should get arrive early for drop off or pick up, there will be a waiting area in the cafeteria.)
*Change of Clothes-Please send 2 sets of clean clothes, including socks, labeled with students name in case of accident(s). We do many art activities and they may get dirty then as well.
*Homework-Homework for the week will be given on Monday. There may be several days when there is nothing to turn in. It is your responsibility to work with your child on all homework assignments.
*Uniform-All students are required to wear a school uniform.
-Khaki or navy pants, skirts, shorts.
-White or Maroon polo or school shirt.
Spirit Day (Friday) They may wear jeans with school spirit shirt.
*Sleep-Your child should get plenty of rest each night. It is important for your child to be alert and ready to learn each day. Set a bedtime and be consistent.
Parent Involvement
We love parent involvement! Please be involved to your child’s school life as much as you can. See me about how you can help in our class. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s education. I will make every effort to meet with you and discuss your concerns.
Communication between home and school is very important. If you feel the need to talk to me, please call the school, send me a note, or email me. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Let’s make this year a great one by working together-
