A Little About Ms. Welch, LMSW... |
![]() Please allow me to tell you a little about myself. My name is Kelly Welch and I am originally from Pasadena, Texas, just southeast of Houston. I moved to San Antonio six years ago and I love it here! Upon graduating from high school, I attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Counseling. After a couple of years in the workforce in Houston, I decided it was time to return to school. I moved to Fort Worth, Texas and attended The University of Texas at Arlington. I graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker through the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. I have wanted to work with youth since I was very young and I have over ten years of experience working with children and adolescents. My experience includes being a teacher at a Disciplinary Alternative Education Program, working with homeless youth at a shelter, and providing crisis intervention and prevention services at various schools. I have been working at Memorial for six years and I can honestly say that I have my dream job. Along with providing social work services to students and families, I am the co-sponsor of the L.I.F.E Club. Go Minutemen! |
