Hello, my name is Clyde Schmittou, and I am an English II teacher.  This is my 12th year in the Edgewood School District and my 6th year at Memorial High School.   I am a graduate of Judson High School.  I have a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  I have teaching certificates in Elementary Education, English Language Arts and Reading, Physical Education, and Special Education.

I grew up in San Antonio from the age of 5, and actually attended Winston Elementary while my family was stationed at Kelly Air Force Base.  I am an avid sports fan, and can be found playing basketball as often as possible.  My spare time is now spent teaching my son to play basketball and baseball.  When I am not busy with work or coaching I still play basketball as much as possible.
