I am currently the Director of the Toltech T-STEM Academy of Memorial High School (http://www.eisd.net//Domain/1458). I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology (minor in chemistry) from St. Mary's University; a Masters of Education from Our Lady of the Lake University in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in Integrated Science Instruction for grades K-12; and a PhD from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, in Educational Administration.

In 2008, I was awared a Fulbright Scholarship from the United States State Department and Comexus (the Mexican Government) to travel to Mexico City for six weeks to visit and learn about Mexico's public school system. I was priviledged to visit schools in Mexico City,  and in the states of Guerrero, Queretaro, Puebla, Morelos, and Tlaxcala.  It was truly a wonderful experience.

Apart from having attended schools in Edgewood ISD when I was young, I began my professional career teaching science at E.T. Wrenn Middle School (in Edgewood ISD) and then taught High School IPC, biology, chemistry, and anatomy/physiology at the Math & Science Academy (located at Kennedy High School from 1999-2001), for students from Memorial, John F. Kennedy, and Edgewood High Schools.

I own a private educational consulting company and have worked for different school districts across the United States (in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Arizona, Washington, DC, all over Texas) and in Mexico (Mexico City).

Apart from working, I enjoy reading, drawing, traveling and of course, my family.

I have always enjoyed teaching students and helping them reach their dreams.  My favorite quote is: "If not now, when? If not me, who?".

If you're a student and don't understand classroom material, come see me!  If I don't know the answer, I will definitely find one or find someone that can help us figure it out!

Now that you know more about me, I look forward to meeting you!
