![]() I was born in Maryland. Given that my father was in the Air Force, I moved around quite a bit when I was younger. This included living for seven years in what was then West Germany. Eventually my family settled in San Antonio where I graduated from John Jay High School. After high school I went to the University of Texas at Austin where I graduated with a major in History and a minor in Government. At UT, I also decided to pursue my teaching certification with the goal of becoming a social studies teacher. Upon graduation, I was hired as a teacher at Memorial High School. This year is my twentieth year at Memorial; I currently teach United States History and World Geography and am the lead teacher for the social studies department. I also earned my Master of Arts Degree and counseling certification from UTSA. I stay involved in Memorial High School beyond the classroom as a class sponsor, UIL coach, and National Honor Society advisor. |
