Community-Based Vocational Education Course Description.



Community-Based Vocational Education is a work program designed to train special education students for the work place and provide them with on the job experience in the community.


CBVE goals includes


  • increase the student's attention to task
  • increase ability to follow instructions
  • improve social skills
  • increase work stamina
  • obtain employment       


Classroom rules;

  • clock in when leaving for job site
  • show respect
  • greet others properly
  • wear seatbelts  when riding in the van
  • ask for permission before leaving work area
  • clock out when returning from job sites
  • no cell phones or other electronic devices    

Weekly job site schedules


    Animal Shelter - 4710 State Hwy 151 - 9:30 am to 3:00 pm Thursday and Friday-Handy Andy 9:30 am to 3:00pm Monday thru Wednesday

    Hoelchser- 9:30am-3:00pm- Monday,Tuesday and Friday Texas Thrift Store 9:30am to 3:00 pm

    Peter Piper Pizza 4611 W. Commerce - 9:30 am to 3:00 pm  Monday thru  Thursday.
