Course Description for Chemistry

In Chemistry, students conduct laboratory investigations to explore scientific concepts and processes. The scientific method and proper lab procedures will be implemented during these labs to promote safety and comprehension.  The students will develop their critical-thinking and scientific problem-solving skills by evaluating the fundamental concepts demonstrated in all experiments and real world applications. This course covers the fundamental principles of chemistry, such as: atomic theory, chemical bonding, states of matter, solutions, stoichiometry, and other related topics. This course is for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The prerequisite is Biology.
