I began with the Edgewood Independent School District in 2006 at the Edgewood Fine Arts and Communications Academy. I served as an English and Technology teacher at the Academy for 3 years. Before teaching, I worked in the Telecommunications industry, as a Radio Announcer, and Video Editor.

| In 2009, I was transferred to Kennedy High School, where I continued my work as an English teacher for at-risk students. Last year, I was fortunate to fill the position at the new TOLTECH T-STEM ACADEMY, part of the Memorial High School campus. As the Teacher Mentor for our district robotics team, the Toltechs, this move suited me and my areas of expertise. |
| This year, I am excited to see how our program will continue to create bright young minds in the third year of the program. I will be teaching both Concepts of Engineering (freshmen) and Robotics and Automation (juniors) classes. I also lead the FTC and FRC robotics programs that are housed here in the Toltech T-STEM building.
I currently possess a B.A. in Communications from Howard Payne University, and a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Concordia University. As an educator I believe in preparing students for any future ahead of them, by increasing their ability to THINK! This year, I have begun working on a PhD in Leadership Studies at Our Lady of the Lake University. I believe in setting an example for my students, and being a "life-long learner" is the expectation I have set for them. |
