Welcome to ART
ART is located in portable C-2 in the backyard.  Please stop by to visit  and see what your student is doing.
 
We will be spending time learning about a variety of artists and cultures through the ages.  Your student will be developing a vast art vocabulary to discuss and describe drawings, paintings, and sculpures.  And, of course, working on skills to complete many projects during the year.
 
Please be sure to check this website in the future to see student work and find out what we are currently working on.
 
Currently we have completed some work for Hispanic Heritage month.  It is displayed on a bulletin board next to the teacher's lounge.  Also, students are contributing to our district's Dia de los Muertos exhibition at edgewood Fine Arts Academy.
 
As autumn sets in, 75 of our fourth and fifth graders spent a day at Government Canyon State Natural area for a lesson in photography and nature sitings.  Plenty of photos were taken; the best will be selected for an exhibition in Spring, following another photo trip to Friedrich Wilderness area.  Parents are welcome to participate; if interested please contact.
