The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps, or JROTC, is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. The mission statement is "To motivate young people to be better citizens." It prepares high school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens.
COMMITMENT: The keys to success in this program, as well as in high school, are consistent attendance, preparation for class/inspection, willingness to participate and learn involvement to the maximum extent possible in extra-curricular teams and your personal commitment to be the best you can be. JROTC will help you do all of that!
