What a great start to a new 2015-2016 school year.  The campus is excited about the inclusion of the 6th graders back to GGMS.  We have many talented and energtic teachers who have worked hard all summer to prepare rigorous instruction for our students.  Some of the things we are proud of this year include:
  • The District has completed the front curb appeal and eliminated the flooding which previously occurred.
  • Construction is complete in the back and has afforded us additional parking and more drop off options.
  • We will continue NJHS, Robotics, Chess Club, UIL, Yearbook, Athletics and Student Council.  We lost our three year running for first place by one point in UIL.  This year, we bring the trophy back home.
  • Our Chess Club took first in Fall Middle School Division and second place in Spring Middle School Division.
  • Our LOTC participated in the Veteran's Day Parade, Battle of Flowers Parade and Cinco de mayo Parade.  We look forward to participating in these again as well as competing in our first drill competition.
  • Our Jazz Band participated in their first competition.  We anticipate two competitions this year.
  • The third induction of the National Junior Honor Society.
